Two fallacies for the price of one!
That's my job!!! I'm great at fallacies, ignoring questions, and answering questions that were not asked!
the wt arbitrarily imposes a ban of 'whole blood' on its members, resulting in heartache, difficulty/delay in receiving medical care, and in many cases death.
rather than focus on the relatively new allowance of blood fractions and the utter flaws in that logic to wt policy, we will focus on blood transfusions involving 'whole blood'.. christ alone, the restrictions on blood found in the ot, or hebrew scriptures if you will, were dietary restrictions on the eating of animal blood, and nothing more.
the mosaic law forbade the eating of animal blood, as it was to be poured out on the ground.

What 1Sam 14:31-35 DOES show is that even in emergency situations where we could die, we are not to eat blood. There are occasions where even when committing an act that required the death penalty by God, He showed mercy and love and did not punish people as they ought to be punished. These people should have been killed for eating the blood, but they were shown mercy.

If you are simply going to ignore a very good question I am finished.
As a good Jehovah's Witness, I do not ignore very good questions! :-)
I was pointing out that if one ate blood it was not simply a matter of being unclean. If one ate blood Leviticus 17:10 says that they were to be cut off. Leviticus 11:39,40 does not mention blood at all. It mentions touching a dead carcass. But to say that the Israelite would not have the time to properly bleed it is reading into it. This principle would apply to anyone hunting for food. After they killed the animal and bled it, they would be unclean until the evening time.

There are alot of conjectures there. "Obviously" and "Surely"
However, the Law DID state that one eating blood would be killed. Keep reading in Leviticus
Lev 17:10 - " "Any Israelite or any alien living among them who eats any blood--I will set my face against that person who eats blood and will cut him off from his people."
ok. so i've heard that the wbt$ say that having alcohol into the body intraveniously (how do you spell it?
), when the doctor says you shouldn't have alcohol is baaaadddd!
so you wouldn't have a blood transfusion because invisible sky friend jar hoover says it's baaaaaddddddd.. no doubt the illustration is beyond crazy but how is the best way to deconstruct it?.
or by butt chugging but that's a hole 'nother matter. pun totally intended.
Cheered up my day a bit with that!

So there are exceptions to Jehovah's rule of abstaining from blood? Can we find a single example of this in the Bible? Where did God EVERY allow for any type of blood to be ingested into the body in any form?
As has been brought out by others, Blood transfusions were not unknown in ancient times. The Egyptians practiced blood transfusions. It is reasonable to conclude that the Israelites knew all about blood transfusions while they were captives of Egypt. This was likely one reason why God brought up the improper use of blood to them in the Mosaic Law.

So says the congregation that Johnathon Holt was in...
Exactly!
If a doctor ordered you to abstain from alcohol, would you be disobedient if you applied an alcohol based ointment to you back or knee due to soreness?
Those that suffer from alcoholism abstain from even using mouthwash that contains alcohol in it. We have to understand the REASON why we are ordered to abstain from something.

These people are baptized; some are more than just 'publishers'.
That is proof of nothing. All those that get disfellowshiped are baptized also. Some get disfellowshiped for heinous acts. Just being baptized does not make them a true servant of Jehovah God. I'm sure there are SOME JWs that would actually disobey our God Jehovah and get a disgusting blood transfusion too! Shame on them! They will see the results of their disgusting ways at Armageddon!!!

So if one was to abstain from alcohol, would it be ok then to take alcohol through the veins or other orifaces?
If one was to abstain from sex, would oral, anal, or mutual masturbation be acceptable?
If one was to abstain from a medication because of an allergy, would it be ok to take this medication in some other form?

Not all JWs do what you say they do.
All TRUE witnesses of Jehovah do. Just being CALLED a Jehovah's Witness does not make you a true Witness of Jehovah God.
